Privacy Policy

Last updated July 11, 2026

This policy describes how Sightfield, Inc. (“Sightfield”, “we”, “us”), a company based in Dublin, Ohio, USA, handles information on sightfield.co — our company website, product pages, blog, and the public map share pages. The Sightfield Maps and Sightfield Go applications have their own accounts and are governed by the terms and privacy notices presented inside those products.

What we collect

This website has no user accounts and no database. The information it touches is limited to the following.

  • Contact form submissions. When you use the form on our contact page, the name, email address, and message you provide are forwarded to our inbox (info@sightfield.co) through an email delivery provider. The website itself stores nothing; the message lives in our mailbox like any other email.
  • Theme preference. If you switch between light and dark mode, that choice is saved in your browser’s local storage. It never leaves your device.
  • Server logs. Our hosting provider (Google Firebase App Hosting) records standard request logs — IP address, user agent, requested page — which we use only for operating and securing the site.

We do not run advertising trackers and we do not sell or rent personal information to anyone. If we ever add analytics, we will choose a privacy-respecting tool and update this policy first.

Embedded content

Pages on this site embed interactive maps served from maps.sightfield.co (our own Maps product) and may display photography from Unsplash with attribution. When your browser loads that embedded content, those services receive the standard technical information any web request carries.

How we use information

We use the information above to respond to your messages, operate and secure the website, and understand aggregate usage from server logs. We share it only with the service providers that make the site work — Google Cloud (hosting) and our email delivery provider (contact form relay) — each acting on our instructions.

Retention

Contact messages are kept in our mailbox for as long as we need them to handle your request and our records. You can ask us to delete your messages at any time.

Your rights

You may ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@sightfield.co and we will respond within a reasonable time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law (such as GDPR or state privacy laws), and we will honor them.

Children

This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top. Material changes to how we handle contact information will be noted prominently on this page.
